There are currently three Major League Soccer places available for the CONCACAF Champions League, with a 4th place being made available through the US Open Cup. The MLS club who have qualified for the 2011-12 competition are Colorado Rapids, Los Angeles Galaxy, FC Dallas and Seattle Sounders FC.

Recent history:
The current champions are Colorado Rapids, who won the 2010 Major League Soccer title with a 2-1 victory over FC Dallas in the final.
The most successful club in the competition are D.C. United, with 4 titles since the competition became Major League Soccer in 1993.
