Competition format:
The winners of the Turkish Süper Lig are entered into UEFA Champions League, with the runners-up entered into the qualifying stages. The teams finishing in 3rd to 5th are entered into the UEFA Europa League. The teams finishing in the bottom three places at the end of the season are relegated to the Turkish First League.
