The winners of the Scottish Premier League are entered into the qualifying stages of the UEFA Champions League, with the teams finishing in 2nd and 3rd place qualifying for the UEFA Europa League proper. The team that finishes in last place at the end of the season are be relegated to the Scottish First Division.
