Competition format:

The winners of the Greek Superleague are entered into UEFA Champions League, with the teams finishing in 2nd to 6th competing in a play-off for one more place in the competition and three places in the UEFA Europa League. The teams finishing in the bottom three places are relegated to the Greek Football League.

AEK Athens, Aris Saloniki, Asteras Tripolis, Atromitos Athinion, Ergotelis, Iraklis, Kavala, Kerkyra, Larissa, Olympiakos Piraeus, Olympiakos Volou, Panathinaikos, Panionios, Panserraikos, PAOK Saloniki and Skoda Xanthi.

Recent history:

The current champions are Olympiakos Piraeus, who won the 2010-11 Greek Superleague title, 13 points clear of Panathinaikos in 2nd place.

Olympiakos Piraeus are also the most successful club in the competition, with 38 titles since it became the Greek Superleague in 1959.
