The winners of the Czech Gambrinus Liga will be entered into the UEFA Champions League qualifying stages, with the teams finishing 2nd and 3rd place entered into the UEFA Europa League. The teams finishing in in the bottom two places will be relegated to the Druha Liga, the second division of Czech football.

The current champions are Viktoria Plzen, who won the 2010-11 Czech Gambrinus Liga title for the first time in their history, ahead of Sparta Prague.
The most successful club in the competition are Sparta Prague, with 11 titles since the competition became the Czech Gambrinus Liga in 1993.
