The teams finishing in the top four places of the Chinese Super League will be entered into the AFC Champions League competition, with the bottom two teams at the end of the season being relegated to China League One.

Recent history:

The current champions are Shandong Luneng, who won the 2010 Chinese Super League title, finishing a massive 13 points ahead of Tianjin Teda in 2nd place.

Shandong Luneng are also the most successful club in the Chinese Super League, who have won 3 titles since the league was founded in 2004.
